Uploading an Exam to Multiple Courses

 Step 1

Look for the “Add New Exam” button that is now available on the faculty home page. This provides a quick shortcut to create an exam without navigating into a specific course. The button is hidden if the faculty member has no current or future course.

Step 2

A new ” Add New Exam” Exams section is available in the Faculty navigation menu. This section provides the same information found under Course > Exams, but includes exams across all courses.

The Exams page includes two tabs:

  1. Exam Catalog: Displays current exams and includes keyword and course filters. Each exam listing shows the exam title, associated courses, and start and end dates. Exams can be viewed or edited directly from the list.
  2. Past Exams: Displays exams with dates that have already passed. This tab includes keyword, course, and semester filters. The semester filter includes all semesters, including archived semesters.

Step 4

When adding or editing an exam from anywhere in the Faculty interface, the form includes a Courses field.

When an exam is added through the Course > Room Booking or Course > Exams tabs, the associated course will be selected by default. Faculty can also add additional courses to the exam.

Only courses for which the faculty member is listed as the instructor or additional instructor will be available for selection.

Step 5

The Exam form now includes two fields at the top of the form:

  1. Instructor: A lookup field that filters the available courses. When an instructor is selected, only courses associated with that instructor are displayed in the Courses field. When creating an exam from a course in the Course Catalog, the instructor field will automatically populate based on the selected course.
  2. Courses: Updated to a multi-select lookup field, allowing managers to associate multiple courses with a single exam. When the instructor filter is cleared, the course list resets to display all available courses while retaining any courses that were previously selected.

Click the “Save” button on the top left hand side of the screen.

The Exam will then be associated with all selected courses
